HS Baseball: Vista Murrieta erupts for 10 Runs in the Sixth to defeat Murrieta Mesa – The Broncos Win their First League Game of the Season

The Broncos exploded for 10 huge runs to break up a 3-2 pitching duel in the fifth inning to win their first league game at the expense of Murrieta Mesa. Vista Murrieta is now 1-3 in league play and is ranked fourth in the CIF SS Division 2 polls. The Rams have a 2-3 league record.

Hunter Tidewell went 4 for 4 and scored three runs for the Broncos. Jack Moberg was 2-for-4 and also scored three times. Ryan Little and Benny Blackwell had two RBIs apiece against the Rams. Coltin Gerhart went 2-for-4 scored a run and had an RBI.

The Ram’s Austen Salcedo was 1-for-2, scored two runs and had an RBI. Andy Thomas had two hits, Andrew Thompson singled and scored and Peyton Uhl had an RBI against the Broncos.

The Rams will head to Great Oak to take on the Wolfpack Thursday. The Broncos will be at Chaparral to play the Pumas. Both games begin at 3:30pm.
