49-Year-Old Woman Killed by Tractor Trailer in Murrieta

MURRIETA – The Coroner’s Office today identified a 49-year-old woman who was killed when she was struck by a tractor-trailer while attempting to a cross an intersection in Murrieta.

Kimberly Renteria was crossing Murrieta Hot Springs Drive, east of Madison Avenue at 9 a.m. Friday when the driver of the tractor-trailer began a turn from northbound Madison, going east on Murrieta Hot Springs and hit her, said Murrieta police Lt. John Flavin.

Renteria, who was in a marked crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene. The big rig driver was not arrested, Flavin said, but added that the investigation was ongoing.

    She was on her way to work, wonderful lady had worked for Home Depot more than 11 years. :(
