Four arrested during day-long warrant sweep in San Jacinto

Published on April 20, 2014 by Admin

Four people were arrested on warrants for drunken driving during a day-long sweep in San Jacinto, a sergeant said today.

Sheriff’s deputies began their operations at 8 a.m. Saturday and ended it at 4 p.m. Those who were arrested had either failed to show up for a court date or violated the terms of their probation in an active drunken driving case, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Himmelberg said.

Those arrested could face additional jail time for not appearing in court or for violating their probation, Himmelberg said.

Hey it’s San Jacinto and they only went after DUI’s? They could have been way more effective going after all the warrants they could. In some neighborhoods they could have knocked on any door and made an arrest for an outstanding warrant.

San Jacinto and Hemet have really gone to S***! I used to love my home town. But now I get anxiety even goin home to visit. With all the murders that take place on a regular basis, all the department can do is worry about DUIs? That is just sad. I am not down talking them I am clearly just sayin they need to step up to the plate and bring back the law.. to many slap on the wrists for murderers and rapists but Extended amount of jail time for drugs and other petty crimes. Im soooo glad i moved to a little town in the desert and started my family away from the trash. Sheriffs need to take over just like they did here.
